TalentBoard are seeking a dedicated Tutor to support three young people working towards their GCSE Maths and English qualifications. The students have complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and require a patient, adaptable and relationship-focused approach.

The successful candidate will deliver personalised tuition in community-based settings, transporting pupils from school to agreed public locations before delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Deliver GCSE Maths and English tuition tailored to individual needs.

• Build positive relationships with students who may display challenging behaviour.

• Support learners to re-engage with education and achieve their GCSE goals.

• Transport students safely from school to agreed tutoring venues.

• Monitor progress and provide feedback to relevant staff.

 

 

Essential Requirements

 

• Experience teaching, tutoring or supporting young people in Maths and/or English.

• Experience working with SEMH, behavioural or additional needs.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

• Appropriate insurance to cover the transportation of students (or willingness to obtain this).

• Strong communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
