Are you an experienced Year 6 Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and welcoming school environment? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a thriving two-form entry primary school in Wirral. The successful candidate will lead a Year 6 class from January through to October 2026, guiding the class through their SATs preparation and ensure pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum.

  • Prepare pupils thoroughly for SATs, ensuring progress and confidence.

  • Assess, track, and report on pupil attainment and progress.

  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the two-form entry structure.


Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils in line with school policies.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding procedures.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching Year 6.

  • Strong knowledge of KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their best.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
