We’re looking for dedicated, compassionate Teaching Assistants to work across mainstream and specialist SEND settings on the Wirral. This is a flexible supply role with opportunities for part-time or full-time work, including short-term and long-term placements.

What You’ll Do

• Support teachers in delivering engaging, tailored lessons for pupils with SEND.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support, ensuring every child can participate and thrive.
• Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with personal care when required, maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to support progress.
• Prepare resources and help maintain a structured, inclusive classroom.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold the highest standards of child protection.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable, but we also welcome applicants with care, nursing or support backgrounds or personal experience with SEND.
• Knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive practices is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.

Any successful applicant will be required to have or undergo and enhanced DBS Check.
