We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants and SEND Support Workers to work across a range of primary schools, secondary schools, specialist provisions, and alternative education settings throughout the Wirral.
Whether you have previous school-based experience or come from a background in care, support work, youth services, or mental health, this could be the ideal opportunity to begin or further your career in education.
The Role
As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
Assisting small groups with targeted learning activities
Supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and other additional needs
Implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual support strategies
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Following safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
