£115 - £230 per day

Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for inclusive education? TalentBoard is currently seeking dedicated and adaptable SEND Teachers to support both specialist SEND schools and SEND units within mainstream settings across Chester and nearby areas.

Your Role as a SEND Teacher

  • Deliver engaging, individualised lessons tailored to pupils with a range of learning needs

  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to support every learner

  • Collaborate on and review IEPs with SENCOs and families

  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment

  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals

  • Uphold SEND legislation and school policies

  • Provide guidance to TAs and Learning Support staff

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Degree or PGCE in Primary, Secondary, or Special Education

  • Experience in SEND settings is a plus, but not essential

  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and behaviour management

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A compassionate, proactive approach

  • Additional training in safeguarding or first aid is a bonus
