Teaching Assistant Jobs – Support SEND Pupils in Ellesmere Port Schools

TalentBoard is looking for Teaching Assistants to join our team and support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in schools across Ellesmere Port. You’ll work with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs, helping them thrive in education.

Whether you’re an experienced TA or have transferable skills from care, youth work, social work, or coaching, we’d love to hear from you.

 

 

What You’ll Do

• Support teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons.

• Help pupils with SEND access learning and achieve their potential.

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and learning resources.

• Provide personal care support when required, with dignity and sensitivity.

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to monitor progress.

• Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow school policies on child protection.

 

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children or adults with SEND (desirable).

• Backgrounds in care, support work, youth mentoring, or sports coaching welcome.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach.

• Passion for inclusive education and child development.

• Knowledge of SEND strategies and safeguarding is a bonus.
