TalentBoard are seeking a motivated and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our educational team, supporting primary, secondary, and SEND settings across Liverpool. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching or an equivalent qualification, be enthusiastic about working with children and young people, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have prior experience in a similar role, such as a Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Nursery Nurse, or Youth Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in diverse educational environments.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of each student.

  • Provide support to children with special educational needs, ensuring they can participate fully in classroom activities.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.

  • Prepare classroom materials and resources to enhance learning experiences.

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all students during lessons and activities.

  • Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring the dignity and comfort of each child.

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting children with varying needs is advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and staff.

  • A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their development.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with diverse learners.


All successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of our safeguarding procedures.
