Teaching Assistant – Support SEND Pupils in Ellesmere Port Schools

TalentBoard is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream and specialist SEND schools across Ellesmere Port, supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

 

Whether you're an experienced TA or someone with transferable skills from care, youth work, social work, or coaching, we’d love to hear from you.

 

 

Your Role Will Include:

• Supporting teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons

• Assisting pupils with SEND to access learning and reach their potential

• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Helping with classroom routines, transitions, and learning materials

• Providing personal care support when needed, with dignity and sensitivity

• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to monitor progress

• Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children or adults with SEND is desirable

• Backgrounds in care, support work, youth mentoring, or sports coaching are welcome

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach

• Passionate about inclusive education and child development

• Knowledge of SEND strategies and safeguarding is a bonus

Roles available in Ellesmere Port, including Great Sutton, Whitby, Little Sutton, and surrounding areas.
