Job Summary
TalentBoard are looking for school Cover Supervisors to join our team supporting schools in Wallasey and the surrounding area. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that students remain engaged and focused during lessons whilst teachers are absent. We are looking for staff with experience of leading groups, who ideally have experience of working with young people, and who are confident standing and presenting information. Ideally you will also be educated to degree level.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor students.
Responsibilities
Supervise classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring lesson plans are followed.
Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Mentor and guide students to enhance their learning experiences.
Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions.
Provide tutoring to individuals or small groups as needed.
Communicate effectively with students and staff about progress and concerns.
Inspire creativity and improve literacy through creative writing activities.
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is beneficial.
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with students and staff alike.
Educated to Degree Level
All successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of our safeguarding procedures.
