TalentBoard is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional needs in Liverpool. This role is integral to helping students develop essential skills and thrive in a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with varying needs, including learning difficulties, emotional challenges, and physical disabilities.
Collaborate with the classroom teacher to modify lesson plans and activities for accessibility.
Assist with personal care tasks and ensure a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere.
Communicate regularly with families and educational staff to monitor and support each student’s progress.
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.
Qualifications:
Experience in a special educational needs environment is highly advantageous.
Relevant certifications in SEN, child development or supporting teaching and learning are beneficial.
