TalentBoard is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional needs in Liverpool. This role is integral to helping students develop essential skills and thrive in a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with varying needs, including learning difficulties, emotional challenges, and physical disabilities.

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to modify lesson plans and activities for accessibility.

• Assist with personal care tasks and ensure a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere.

• Communicate regularly with families and educational staff to monitor and support each student’s progress.

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a special educational needs environment is highly advantageous.

• Relevant certifications in SEN, child development or supporting teaching and learning are beneficial.
