We are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in specialist SEND settings in Birkenhead. This role may also involve supporting SEND units within mainstream schools or providing one-on-one assistance to pupils.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the educational and personal development of students with a range of needs, including moderate learning difficulties and complex needs.

• Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational plans and activities.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.

• A caring and patient approach to supporting individualised learning.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
