TalentBoard is recruiting Learning Support Workers to support pupils across mainstream and specialist SEND schools in Chester and the surrounding area. This is a fantastic opportunity to help learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex challenges thrive in education.
Your Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils with SEND.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Promote independence, emotional resilience, and social development.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold child protection policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in education, care, youth work, nursing, or coaching.
- Qualifications in childcare, psychology, or education are desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young learners.
