TalentBoard is actively recruiting Learning Support Workers to join our growing team, working across a range of mainstream and specialist schools in the Wirral. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with diverse needs, including autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
Whether you have experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or hold a relevant degree such as psychology, this role offers a meaningful way to make a difference in young lives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student progress.
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting individuals with SEND in educational, care, or community settings.
A relevant qualification (e.g., psychology, childcare, or education) is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people.
A genuine interest in inclusive education and child development.
