Make a Real Impact as a Learning Support Worker in Wirral Schools

Are you driven to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? TalentBoard is seeking compassionate and committed Learning Support Workers to join our team, working across mainstream and specialist schools in the Wirral.

This is a fulfilling opportunity to support pupils with diverse needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and behavioural difficulties, helping them flourish both in and out of the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to children with SEND.

  • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists.

  • Encourage independence, emotional resilience, and social development.

  • Upholding safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in education, care, nursing, youth work, coaching, or similar sectors.

  • Qualifications in childcare, psychology, or education are a plus—but not essential.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive attitude.

  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young learners.

Why Choose TalentBoard?

  • Flexible working options – full-time or part-time to suit your schedule.

  • Competitive PAYE rates with weekly pay.

  • Access to our exclusive CPD training platform to boost your skills.

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment consultant.

  • Opportunities to work in a range of SEND settings across the Wirral.

All applicants must hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, in line with safeguarding requirements.
