What you’ll be doing as a Teaching Assistant

In schools across Ellesmere Port, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons across different age groups
• Helping pupils stay focused, motivated and confident in the classroom
• Providing 1:1 or small-group support to boost academic, social and emotional progress
• Using positive behaviour strategies to promote a calm, supportive learning environment
• Preparing resources, organising learning spaces and supporting classroom routines
• Assisting pupils with additional needs to ensure they feel included and able to learn at their own pace
• Following safeguarding guidance and prioritising pupil wellbeing at all times

• Care or support settings
• Youth work or mentoring roles
• Sports coaching or activity leadership
• Health and social care
• Customer-facing or community-based jobs

We’re looking for individuals who can demonstrate:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Confidence using initiative while still being a great team player
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
