TalentBoard is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in Ellesmere Port. This position is vital for providing tailored assistance to enhance the learning experience for pupils.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with a range of needs from moderate learning difficulties to complex needs.

• Work in specialist SEND settings and potentially within mainstream school SEND units.

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils as required.

• Assist in the planning and implementation of individualised learning plans.

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.

• A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning, SEND or an equivalent course is an advantage, as is relevant training.
