Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities? TalentBoard is seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to work within specialist SEND schools across the Wirral.


We’re looking for teachers who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies, including experience with EHCPs, differentiated learning, and positive behaviour support. If you’re committed to helping every child reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver Personalised Learning: Plan and teach tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD.

  • Create a Supportive Environment: Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom where all learners feel valued and empowered.

  • Collaborate with Support Staff: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs to deliver holistic support.

  • Monitor Progress: Use a range of assessment tools to track student development and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Promote Positive Behaviour: Implement effective behaviour management techniques that support emotional regulation and engagement.

  • Engage with Families and Professionals: Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to support each pupil’s learning journey.

  • Commit to Professional Growth: Stay up to date with best practices in SEND education through ongoing CPD and training.

  • Upholding safeguarding responsibilities: By promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

 

What We’re Looking For:


  • A recognised degree or PGCE in education (or equivalent).

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Experience working in SEND settings or with pupils with additional needs.

  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.

  • A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
