TalentBoard is searching for an inspiring, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to work with a selection of supportive and forward‑thinking primary schools across Chester and the surrounding Cheshire areas. We are recruiting for flexible supply teaching, long‑term placements, and full‑time class teacher roles across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 — offering the perfect fit for teachers seeking variety, consistency or career progression.

 

Please note: We can only accept applications from fully qualified teachers with QTS or Student Teachers.

 

⭐ Your Responsibilities as a Primary Teacher

 

As a Primary Teacher in Chester, you will play a key role in shaping children’s early education by:


  • Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive and well‑structured lessons across the primary curriculum.

  • Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment where every pupil feels safe, valued and motivated to learn.

  • Differentiating activities to support a wide range of learning needs and abilities.

  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress using effective formative and summative assessment strategies.

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents to support academic progress and personal development.

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and encouraging positive attitudes to learning.

  • Following safeguarding procedures and contributing to wider school life where needed.

 


⭐ What We’re Looking For

 

To apply for this Primary Teacher role, you must:


  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)applications without QTS cannot be considered.

  • Have experience teaching in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (placements and NQT/ECT experience welcome).

  • Demonstrate excellent lesson planning, behaviour management and curriculum knowledge.

  • Show strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.

  • Be adaptable, passionate and committed to creating inspiring learning experiences.

  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS.
