Support Young People with SEMH, ADHD & SEND Needs | Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available
TalentBoard is recruiting passionate and proactive Behaviour Mentors to work in schools across Ellesmere Port and the surrounding area. If you have experience supporting children or young adults with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, or other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), we want to hear from you!
We also welcome applications from individuals with transferable experience in:
Teaching Assistant roles (including voluntary)
Care work or social care
Youth work or sports coaching
Counselling or mentoring
Supporting adults with learning disabilities or behavioural needs
Key Responsibilities
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support behaviour and emotional well-being.
Implement strategies for positive behaviour management and conflict resolution.
Monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate documentation.
Build strong, trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies.
Support inclusive classroom environments and smooth transitions for pupils.
Promote engagement and resilience in pupils with SEND.
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ADHD, or SEND.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and safeguarding procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Organised and proactive in maintaining intervention plans and records.
Passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners.
