TalentBoard is seeking compassionate and experienced individuals to join specialist SEND schools across the Wirral as Teaching Assistants supporting pupils with complex needs.

If you have experience supporting children, young people, or adults with complex needs—whether in education, care, nursing, or support work—we want to hear from you! Previous experience in a specialist school setting is an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with complex needs in a classroom setting.
• Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and positive behaviour strategies.
• Support pupils in developing social, communication, and life skills.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection responsibilities at all times.

Requirements

• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (education or care background).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
• Relevant SEND qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
• Enhanced DBS check required (we can assist with this if needed).
