TalentBoard is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a specialist setting in Kirkby. This role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of needs, from moderate learning difficulties to more complex challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students in a specialist SEND setting, facilitating their learning and development.

• Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil’s needs.

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, fostering an inclusive learning environment.

• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to enhance the educational experience for students.

• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with SEND is preferred, but candidates with relevant transferable skills, qualifications and/or traning are encouraged to apply.
