SEND Teaching Assistant

Pay:

£78.5 - £100 per day

We are looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work within specialist SEND settings in Deeside. This role may also include support within SEND units in mainstream schools or on a one-to-one basis, making a positive impact on pupils with various needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to pupils with moderate to complex learning needs.

  • Assist with classroom activities designed to promote academic and personal development.

  • Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of each pupil.

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities by promoting the welfare of children and young people, and ensuring all actions align with school policies on child protection and safety.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an SEND setting is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills and a patient, supportive approach.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and caregivers.
