Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 personalised support aligned with each pupil’s EHCP

  • Assisting small groups with structured learning tasks or interventions

  • Using visuals, communication tools and supportive teaching strategies

  • Helping pupils regulate emotions using calm, trauma-informed approaches

  • Encouraging engagement in lessons, routines and social activities

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and pastoral staff

  • Creating a predictable, nurturing environment where pupils can feel safe, valued and understood

This is a deeply rewarding role where you can make a long-lasting difference to the lives of children who truly benefit from consistent, caring support.

  • Confident supporting communication, sensory or behavioural needs

  • Reliable, consistent and committed to helping children succeed

  • Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team

  • Willing to learn and develop specialist SEN skills

  • Happy to complete an Enhanced DBS if required
