What you’ll be doing

• Delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that support pupil progress and spark curiosity.
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children feel confident, valued and motivated.
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes, including pupils with SEND.
• Using effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and purposeful atmosphere.
• Working closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior staff to enhance learning outcomes.
• Monitoring pupil progress through assessment and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Prioritising safeguarding and ensuring the wellbeing of every child.
• Adapting confidently to different school settings across Ellesmere Port.

What we’re looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching EYFS, KS1 or KS2 within UK primary schools.
• Strong behaviour management and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities.
• A proactive, flexible approach and the confidence to work effectively in new environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A genuine passion for shaping children’s academic, social and emotional development.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
